Ubercon Spring 2008
Apr 24th
As I so rarely (read: hardly ever) use this space to promote my own projects, no one is going to mind if I share some news of my latest project. I’ve been working with talented artist and writer Mike Mann on a new fantasy epic comic book titled Wulflorne. Mike is the author and colorist and I’m providing pencils and inks. You can read about this and other projects under Mike’s new production label at Modsprocket.com. We have the first promotional art for the book available in the form of high quality art prints. I’ll have a small quantity with me at Ubercon in New Jersey this weekend. I’m sure I’ll have some left over when I return.
Also, our Samantha Allen has just collected 32 pages of her comics and illustrations in one great looking book she’s releasing as Random Assembly Presents: Tease.
You can get Sam’s book straight from her if you’d like one with an artist’s sketch and a signature, or order direct from her Lulu store. Sam will also have these with her at Ubercon this weekend.
That’s it for now. We still need to hear back about who can make it to the next meetup at Old Point Tavern, May 4th. Expect an email, shortly.

Dr. Sketchy’s Anti Art School
Apr 10th
First, I wanted to let you all know the Graphic Narrative show was fantastic. A really great event with wonderful work from top notch artists. If you have not had the chance to check out their sites yet I highly recommend you make time. They’re all linked from this blog post. What are you waiting for?
Yes, that’s right. The next Dr. Sketchy’s Anti Art School hosted by Bottoms up Burlesque and Alchemy is set for Friday, April 18th at 9PM. Samantha, Wayne and I had a blast at the last event in February. I expect this one to be no less enjoyable. Hope to see you all there.
And if you were dedicated enough to read this far into the blog post, I’m pleased to invite you to our next IWG Meetup we’re going to call May 4th? I’ll be sure to send out an email to see who can make it. Lets go ahead and plan on meeting at Old Point Tavern on Mass Ave. See you then!
